As the year ends, there’s a bustle at the beginning of the year to establish New Year’s resolutions. This year, we at Stanley Chevrolet suggest adding some resolutions concerning your car and driving habits that will be sure to increase your sense of well-being while on the road. Here are a few resolutions for car owners that we think everyone should adopt!
- Practice self-care by caring for your car: Just as taking care of yourself is important, so is caring for your car. Routine maintenance is an important way to do just that. This comes in different forms depending on the make and model of your car, so consult your owner’s manual. Some general tips are to change your oil regularly (along with maintaining windshield wiper fluid and antifreeze levels) and check your tire pressure and tires every so often. In addition, spring for a general tune-up when you get your oil changed.
- Be a more fuel-efficient driver: It’s always good to keep a little more money in your pocket, and one way of doing so is to become a more fuel-efficient driver. For example, use cruise control whenever possible and avoid idling for long periods of time.
We hold these resolutions for ourselves and think they’re good practices, so we suggest trying them out for yourselves this year — hopefully they’ll stick!
