2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Adds New Towing Features

Towing with your pickup truck is something most pickup owners do. If you tow frequently, you know there is so much more to the job than simply hooking up your trailer to the hitch and driving away. The redesigned 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is trying to make towing even easier and safer with a variety of new towing features.

One of the new tools is the addition of a trailering feature in the myChevrolet app. This will give drivers access to step-by-step towing checklists along with a glossary of common towing terms. These features will be especially helpful for novice towers.

The app also has a trailer light test feature that can help confirm that everything is properly connected on the trailer.

The LTZ and High Country trim levels will come standard with an Advanced Trailer System. This system, which is an available option on other trims, comes with an industry-first Auto Parking Brake Assist that prevents truck roll while aligning the trailer hitch.

Another handy feature is the Trailer Theft Alert. If the trailer harness is disconnected unexpectedly, it will activate the truck’s horn and lights. In addition, customers with an OnStar® Safety & Security Plan will get a theft alert via email, text, or phone.

Check out all of these must-have new features on the 2019 Silverado 1500 when you visit Stanley Chevrolet.
