Were you just invited to your very first trunk or treat and aren’t quite sure what to expect? Here are our trunk or treat tips to help you come up with a game plan for decorating your Chevy this Halloween.
- Come up with a theme: The most successful trunk or treat vehicles have a theme. Whatever your theme is, go all-out in decorating your vehicle — not just the trunk. You can decorate the outside, inside, and parking space all around your car. Don’t forget to wear a costume that fits with the theme. Common themes include Star Wars, Spongebob, and Marvel comics.
- Don’t forget the music: Your vehicle comes with a built-in sound system, so play some fun music that kids will enjoy. If you can, find a family-friendly spooky soundtrack with classics like “Monster Mash.” If you do have a decoration theme, consider a related soundtrack, like the Harry Potter score for a Harry Potter display or beach music for a beach vignette.
- Have an activity for the kids: Because trunk or treats are set in a parking lot for safety reasons, the actual activity of walking around doesn’t take very long and could be over before you know it. Introduce some fun games for the kids to play when they stop at your Chevy to add more wonder to the night.
We at Stanley Chevrolet wish you and your little ones a safe, spooky Halloween.
