The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison is the latest addition to the Chevy Colorado lineup. This new performance-oriented variant marks Chevy’s first collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles, a premium off-road aftermarket manufacturer.
The Bison is especially adept at off-roading thanks to a number of innovative features designed as part of this collaboration. These include five skid plates that cover the fuel tank, transfer case, front and rear locking differentials, and engine oil pan. AEV also designed stamped-steel front and rear bumpers for the ZR2 Bison for improved off-roading.
Styling on the Colorado ZR2 Bison matches the fierce personality of the off-road truck. The Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison rides on ZR2 Bison-specific 17 x 8-inch aluminum wheels that are wrapped by 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires. Other exterior features include Bison decals on the bed sides, a “CHEVROLET” lettered grille, and an “AEV Bison” logo on the tailgate.
The special edition Bison model gets all the off-road goodies at the regular Colorado ZR2 gets, like cast-iron control arms, the segment-exclusive Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, off-road rocker protection, an Autotrac transfer case, and class-exclusive front- and rear-locking electronic differentials. The Bison can even be powered by the popular 2.8-liter Duramax® Turbo-Diesel engine.
The 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison will go on sale next year in January. Stanley Chevrolet is excited for its release. Stay tuned right here as we will let you know when we get them in stock.
